Blondies Recipe

Bella Bursor

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • chocolate chips to taste (I usually do around 1 cup)

Directions:

1. Butter/spray 8.5 by 12 inch pan and preheat the oven to 350

2. Stir together 1/2 C melted butter and 1 C packed dark brown sugar with a spatula or wooden spoon until smooth.

3. Add 1/4 C whole milk, 1/2 t baking powder, 2 large eggs, and 1/4 t salt. Stir until smooth.

4. Add 1 1/2 C flour and stir until well blended.

5. Add the chocolate (or nuts, or whatever you want to add) and stir until fully incorporated.

6. Scoop into the buttered pan and spread it out across the bottom as evenly as you can.

7. Bake for 20-25 (I usually end up doing 24) minutes. When you take the blondies out of the oven they should be golden brown and almost done, they will finish baking while you let them sit to cool. Baking them for too long could make them hard and difficult to cut and eat.

8. Let cool for 10-12 minutes before cutting and eating.
