Although it feels as though school has just begun, the cross-country season is already coming to a halt. Athletes have been training consistently since July to prepare for the fall season. Starting on September 9th, runners have been competing in 1 – 2 invitational and CSSA meets per week. The main feats have been the Suffern Invitational at Bear Mountain and the Manhattan college race where every runner got a personal record. Coming at the end of this week, the team has their final meet of the Cross Country Season, the CSAA Championships! Feel free to stop by in Van Cortlandt Park after school on Thursday to cheer on our runners! If you are interested in running but are not riveted by long distances, have no fear as track season is almost here!! During this Track season, we are excited to announce that both boys and girls will participate in the PSAL. For new runners, practice will begin on Tuesday, November 15th, and for runners who participated in this Cross Country season, training will begin the following week starting on November 21st. If you are interested in running and/or have questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with [email protected]! We are looking forward to seeing all of your new faces!!!
